China launches Yaogan-50 02 remote sensing satellite
Summary: Xinhua, as carried by CCTV.com English, reports that on Mar. 15, 2026, at 9:22 p.m. Beijing Time, a modified Long March-6 rocket launched the Yaogan-50 02 satellite from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, Shanxi Province. The satellite entered its planned orbit; the mission was a complete success. The spacecraft is used mainly for land survey, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and relief.
