Blue Team Research
Scope
This module publishes open-source compilations and analysis on blue team research. Sources must be lawful and publicly citable; no classified content.
Mission and goals
Blue team research establishes a systematic, updatable understanding of adversary space operations based on open information. Analytical work shall align with how national space combat power is generated and employed, including formation paths, employment logic, and comparable technical and organizational factors.
Work synthesizes public doctrine, strategy, equipment, and employment patterns to support topic decomposition, research planning, and milestone assessment.
Goal layers
| Layer | Scope |
|---|---|
| Strategic vision | Long-term human presence and use of space |
| National space | Sustained contribution to civil and security space capabilities |
| Force development | Cognitive, methodological, and technical support to force generation |
Blue team research provides an intelligence and awareness foundation alongside related engineering research.
Research tracks
| Track | Subject |
|---|---|
| Doctrine & strategy | U.S. strategy and doctrine: actions grounded in doctrine; systematic review of public strategy and joint/service doctrine |
| Equipment & technology | Programs and technology: e.g. SDA open plans, commercial roles (including SpaceX) from public sources |
| Operations | Employment in conflict: e.g. open reporting on Ukraine and the Middle East; narrow to orbital confrontation or kill-chain segments when too broad |
Topics must stay bounded; prefer one clear subtopic over sweeping surveys.
Phased work
| Phase | Content |
|---|---|
| Literature & index | Verifiable bibliography, terms, and extracts |
| Thematic depth | Structured treatment within one track or cross-cutting issue |
| Publication | Citable text, figures, and revision history on this site |
